Band-Aid with Quiltvent Technology: Better for Healing Little Wounds

When you have small children it is so important to always be prepared because they are always on the move and little accidents are bound to happen.  My daughter is specially accident prone, it is not unusual for me  to get a call from the school nurse letting me know she scraped or fell.  She always bounces right back or gets right back on the horse just like she did after she fell off her horse two weeks ago during horseback riding lessons.

Band-Aids are a necessity at our house and I am loving the new QUILTVENT® Technology in BAND-AID® Brand Adhesive Bandages which creates air channels for superior breathability and wicks away blood to keep wounds clean.  A covered wound heals faster than an uncovered one and it keeps dirt, sand and those pesky insects we have year round here in Florida away.

I took a look at our medicine cabinet and realized it’s time to restock my first-aid kit and organize all the medicines! Before heading out to Sam’s Club  I made a list of what we are missing and threw away some expired medications.  Then I visited the BAND-AID® website where I learned more about the Quiltvent technology and downloaded a coupon.  You can see more about my shopping trip in my Google+ Album here and you can like Band-Aid on Facebook to learn more about their products and offers.

I am so happy with my purchase. Shopping at Sam’s Club was a great value and I got Band-Aids in all different sizes and shapes, including waterproof Band-Aids that will get a lot of use since we are around water all the time.  The box even included some Winnie the Pooh Band-Aids, ideal for the little ones.   Now that is what I call a #HealthyValue.

Band-Aids not only protect cuts, scrapes and insect bites from getting dirty or from getting scratched by little fingers and help wounds heal faster, they bring peace of mind and have become a way to let our children know that we love them and will always be there to comfort and protect them.  When my children get hurt I run to comfort them and right after the hugs and kisses there is usually a request to get a Band-Aid.  Putting a Band-Aid on a child just instantly makes him feel better, they know the boo-boo has been taken care of by mommy or daddy so they can forget about it and go back to playing until it is time to show the Band-Aid covered boo-boo to grandma, their teacher or a playmate as a clever little way to get some extra hugs and kisses or maybe some ohhhs and ahhhs of admiration from their little playmates.

My daughter who wants to be a veterinarian will pretend to take care of her stuffed animals or our dog Sally and put Band-Aids on their pretend wounds to make them feel better.  In our family Band-Aids don’t just help wounds heal better and faster, they also help kids feel better.
