Last night I made a delicious taco bowl with avocado. I picked up a box of Hamburger Helper® Crunchy Taco at Walmart and in just minutes I had an easy dinner. I used chicken for the recipe, then followed the directions on the box and added some chives and avocado to the finished dish. The result was a one bowl dinner solution that was filled with rich flavors and even a bit of heat, just the right amount to make it exciting but mild enough so that even the kids loved it.
Preparing dinner is something we love to do as a family. Both of my kids love helping out in the kitchen so for us dinner is an important part of our time together as a family. Cooking dinner together also gives us an opportunity to bring the flavors of our Latino culture to the table. Adding the avocados, which came from the trees in my in-laws back yard added a fresh a touch to the meal and the chives brought all of the flavors together. I really like the combination of textures too with the crunch of the tortilla chips and the smooth avocado.
