Disclosure

Lake Buena Vista Resort Village and Spa pirate ship pool Thousands of people visit Orlando each year to spend time at major theme parks. But as you plan your Orlando vacation and start looking for hotels you find yourself facing such a wide array of options it’s often so hard to choose that perfect place to stay. We stayed at Lake Buena Vista Resort Village and Spa on our recent trip to Orlando and we had a fantastic experience!

The location was great the service was fantastic and the suites which include a full kitchen are perfect for families. My kids loved the pool area and I really enjoyed getting some time to relax and recharge at the spa. We have been to many hotels in Orlando and the Lake Buena Vista Resort Village and Spa is now one of our favorites! Here are our five top reasons why we recommend staying at the Lake Buena Vista Resort Village and Spa.

When it comes to family friendly hotels the pool is always at the top of our list because it’s the most important thing for our kids. The first thing they want to do when they get to a hotel is check out the pool and the Lake Buena Vista Resort Village and Spa’s fantastic pirate ship pool definitely has that wow factor that get’s kids (and adults) excited. Additionally the pool also has a zero or beach entry and an area that is just a few inches deep and ideal for younger kids to splash around in.

For those who prefer a more laid back atmosphere the pool Lake Buena Vista Resort Village and Spa’s Reflections pool provides a more relaxing spot to take in the Florida sun.

Home away from home.

For our family the most important thing we look for when searching for accommodations in Orlando, and honestly for most of our family vacations, is finding a place where we can feel at home. Staying at a hotel room with kids can be really challenging as there is no space for kids and adults to unwind, watch their favorite TV show or a movie after a long day at the parks or just do their thing.

The Lake Buena Vista Resort Village and Spa suite That is why we loved Lake Buena Vista Resort Village and Spa’s 1,080 square-foot, two-bedroom suite which includes a full kitchen, bathtub, washer and dryer and a living area with living room and dinning table.

The Lake Buena Vista Resort Village and Spa suite My kids really enjoyed having their own space and so did we, as my husband and I got the opportunity to stay up after the kid where in bed and get some kid free time.  We had unexpected cold temperatures during our stay and where not well prepared so having a washer and drying available in the suite meant that I did not have to stress about the kids getting the few warm clothes we had dirty as I could just throw them in the washer and use them again the next day.

The Lake Buena Vista Resort Village and Spa suite  For a family of four having two full bathrooms is also very important. As we rushed in the mornings to get to the parks early there was no fighting over bathrooms, which was awesome!

Great location.

The Lake Buena Vista Resort Village and Spa is minutes away from the Disney parks, Universal and Sea World. Additionally the hotel provides a free shuttle service to the parks. The Lake Buena Vista Resort Village and Spa also has everything you could need close by including two restaurants: Frankie Farrell’s Irish Pub & Grill and Pizza Hut Café Express which is perfect for grabbing a quick bite.  My husband who is always focused on staying fit and healthy, even when we’re on vacation, really appreciated having a 24 hour Fitness Center available.

Save money by preparing meals and snacks yourself.

We where able to save a lot of money by preparing breakfast ourselves and buying drinks and snacks that we could keep in the refrigerator to take during our days out. That meant that we where able to spend that money in experiences and in making memories and that for us is priceless. If you forgot something or need to buy food to prepare in your suite the hotel also has a convenience store and gift shop.

Unwind, relax and take some time to yourself.

The Reflection’s Spa at Lake Buena Vista Resort Village and Spa gives you the opportunity to truly add that element of relaxation to your Orlando family vacation. Most times when we head out to Orlando we rush from park to park and from attraction to attraction and by the time we come back home I feel like I need a vacation from my vacation but this time I made some time for myself and booked a massage at the Reflection’s spa. Here you will find a full array of spa and beauty services from manicures, pedicures and beauty consultations to relaxing massages and rejuvenating facials.

My masseuse was amazing; she applied just the right pressure and asked for feedback from me as he worked on my back or my arms. She worked on the knots on my back until they all disappeared.  All the tension and stress was just melted away and soon I was so relaxed that I fell asleep. When the massage was over I glided down the elevator as if I was riding a cloud. It was the perfect way to end our family vacation and when we got back home I really felt like I had been on vacation and was ready to get back into the daily grind energized and motivated.

We always choose hotel rooms that offer an option for us to cook our own meals. It saves us money. It is also a great alternative when the kids are too tired to go out and find a restaurant to dine in. I will keep this hotel in mind. There are so many beautiful places to see in Orlando and I hope to be able to visit the place soon.
