Cranberry Fruit Salad Recipe: the Perfect Side Dish for Marie Callender's Pies

Ingredients

  • 1/2 package 6 ounces fresh or frozen cranberries
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 medium apples diced
  • 2 medium firm bananas sliced
  • 1 cups fresh blueberries
  • 1 can 11 ounces mandarin oranges
  • 1 cup fresh raspberries
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries halved
  • ΒΌ cup orange juice
  • rind from one orange
  • Ricotta cheese

Instructions

  1. In a large saucepan, combine the cranberries, water and sugar.
  2. Cook and stir over medium heat until berries pop, about 15 minutes.
  3. Remove from the heat; cool slightly.
  4. In a large bowl, combine the remaining ingredients.
  5. Add cranberry mixture; stir gently.
  6. Top with crumbled ricotta.
