My little man’s first time in the snow. He had a blast!

Last year we spent the holidays with family “up north”  (we live in Florida) and the kids got to see snow for the first time.  They where so excited they played for hours in the snow sledding, building snow men and having snow fights.  My daughter even made a snow angel, face down on the snow!  Yes that is how happy they where to get to play in the snow.  It was truly an unforgettable day and as I was finally able to lure them back inside with the promise of hot chocolate I smiled as I remembered the first time I saw snow.  Growing up and living most of my adult life in Guatemala we would sometime visit the US on vacations but we always missed the snow. When I was about 12 years old my older cousin drove my up to the mountains in Virginia so I could see snow.  We stopped on the side of the road and I ran out to make my first snow man.  It was a day I will never forget.

A truly unforgettable day in the snow!

Although I had made sure to dress them up appropriately with full snow gear from head to toe I was not prepared for the effects the cold weather would have on my little people’s skin. I quickly learned what most people already know, that chilly weather specially coupled with the wind brings with it dry skin.  I also learned that the best way to combat dry skin is to moisturize before the skin gets dry.  So even if winter is not here yet as the weather starts getting cooler it’s important to use a product that can lock the moisture in and prevent dryness before it happens.

JOHNSON’S® Baby Intense Moisture Cream

Everyone gets dry skin in winter and that is why it’s important to protect your little one’s skin using a moisturizer that is designed for extra dry skin like JOHNSON’S® Baby Intense Moisture Cream.

Sometimes, when baby’s skin is particularly dry, regular lotion doesn’t moisturize enough or last as long as necessary. For these instances, JOHNSON’S® Baby Intense Moisture Cream provides deep hydration to help relieve dryness and give baby comfortably soft skin all day long. It is clinically proven to seal in moisture for 24 hours and contains 2% dimethicone, an ingredient used to help form a protective barrier on the skin, locking in moisture.

This year I am prepared and love that the JOHNSON’S® Baby Intense Moisture Cream is so gentle but has the extra protection my little ones need for the colder weather.  So this year when we head up to see  my family up north again we will be better prepared and JOHNSON’S® Baby Intense Moisture Cream will be part of our winter gear.

I suffer from really dry skin (all year round and in any kind of weather) and I loved that the soft and rich texture of JOHNSON’S® Baby Intense Moisture Cream and have been using it for myself as well and since it’s design for extra dry skin while also being gentle enough for a baby it’s perfect for my dry sensitive skin as well.  So yes even thought it’s formulated for babies it’s also great for older kids and adults.

  2. I think Johnson and Johnson is one of the first names people think of when it come to lotion. I had not thought about using it on the big people in our house. I am going to look into that now.
