Where Do You Go To Learn About the Health Insurance Marketplace in Florida?

This is part of a compensated campaign with The Navigator Project of SW and GC Florida. However, all opinions expressed are my own.

My family walking towards the future.

I live every day in fear, fear that anything big or small might happen to either of us and we won’t have the money to pay for it. You see, for the last 5 years my husband and I have been uninsured.  This is specially hard for me because growing up I always had great health insurance.  My husband was not offered insurance through his job and private insurance for two healthy, non smoking adults (the kids have health insurance through Healthy Kids) costs more than our rent! After my husband became self employed, like me, our hopes of affording health insurance anytime in the near feature completely disappeared. This is why I am very so excited that there will soon be more affordable options through the Health Insurance Marketplace.

How can you enroll in the Marketplace on October 1st?

About the Navigator Program

I am sure that just like me, many people have lots of questions about the Health Insurance Marketplace, what their options will be and how to access them. This is where the Navigator program comes in.  Funded through the University of South Florida Consortia the Navigator program can assist you with information about the Marketplace and the enrollment process in the following Florida counties: Collier, Lee, Charlotte, Hendry, Glades, DeSoto, Sarasota, Manatee, Highlands and Hardee.

With a network of Navigators and Certified Application Counselors the Navigator program is working with agencies that are already assisting and connecting people with social and health care services in each community as they already know these communities and the local support services that are available in each of them.

  1. I am currently trying to find healthcare in NY as the company I have it with now is stopping selling it here! I have been on line and have a couple of calls in to different people but am still waiting to hear. Each State will be handling it slightly differently or I would be tempted to come listen in.

  2. love the photography, i assumed that life insurance is a must so we can have something to leave for our kids esp if they are too young we can’t tell about what lies ahead of us., but to pray and work on something that would secure our kids future.
