Peep and the Big Wide World

From the first time my kids saw Peep and the Big World on TV they loved it. The fun characters are always up to something interesting that wakes up their creativity and keeps my kids entertained and I love that these simply and fun characters are always teaching kids something new.

Peep and the Big Wide World / El Mundo Divertido de Peep is a popular Emmy Award-winning animated series for 3-5 year olds narrated by comedian Joan Cusack. The series stars a wide-eyed chicken named Peep, a robin named Chirp, and an irascible, endearing duck named Quack that live in a large urban park—a place of endless wonder, adventure, and mystery – perfect for learning science and math concepts each and every day! Peep effectively models science inquiry skills for preschoolers, including making predictions, observing, and problem-solving in the physical world. You can catch Peep and the Big wide World / El Mundo Divertido de Peep on public television (check local listings) and you can also check out the Peep the Spanish language videos and look for Peep and his friends on their website.

My kids specially like checking out the website because they can explore and learn at their pace and I love that they can learn math, science and other things in both English and Spanish by watching videos and by printing coloring pages and activities!

After watching the Peep Discovers video we decided to create some Peep inspired finger puppets. These finger puppets are so easy to make your kids can make them with you.
