Chorizo Mac & Cheese

  • 1 box of Stouffer's Macaroni and Cheese
  • 3 red chorizos
  • 1/4 shredded cheese I used Mexican blend or taco blend
  • 1/2 Cup bread crumbs
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon sweet paparika
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 Tbsp Butter melted


  1. Bake the mac & cheese according to the package instructions.
  2. While mac & cheese is baking remove casing from chorizos, cut into 1 inch pieces and place them in a food processor.
  3. Pulse 2 or 3 times until chorizo is finely chopped.
  4. Mix mac & cheese with chorizo and transfer into a casserole dish.
  5. Sprinkle the shredded cheese on top of the mac & cheese.
  6. Spread the breadcrumbs on top of the cheese.
  7. Drizzle the melted butter over the top.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes until it lightly browns on the top and the edges start to bubble a bit.

Recipe Notes

For a milder version leave out the chili.
