Don’t Miss Orlando’s Spring Events

Lots of special events are going on this spring in Orlando. Some of the events happening in the parks like Epcot’s International Flower & Garden Festival bring with them unique experiences that you can only enjoy during this time so take advantage of this and make sure to check them out. There are also many exciting things going on in Orlando beyond the parks from art festivals and food festivals to fun activities focused on families and kids.

With so much happening this year, it can be difficult to decide what to do while visiting Orlando in the Spring. These events are some of the best spring events in Orlando in 2019 and the list includes some of my favorite things to do in Orlando this time of year.

Universal Studios Mardi Gras

Mardi Gras at Universal Studios Florida

February 9th – April 4th

The streets of Universal Studios theme park turn into the largest Mardi Gras celebration outside New Orleans. In addition to a fabulous concert series Universal Studios Mardi Gras celebration features a nightly parade with hundreds of costumed characters, stilt walkers, festively decorated Mardi Gras floats and throngs of beads tossed from float riders.

SeaWorld Orlando Seven Seas Food Festival

SeaWorld Seven Seas Food Festival

February 9th – May 5th

You can sample your way around the world of international street food traditions and enjoy live music performances at SeaWorld’s Seven Seas Food Festival! This not-to-be-missed event combines over 180 delicious items including more than 60 dishes, over 70 international and local craft beers and more than 50 wines and cocktails. The festival runs every Friday night (from 4pm-9pm) and each Saturday and Sunday starting on February 9th through May 5th. Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival

Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival

March 6 – June 3

Celebrate the beginning of Spring at Epcot during the International Flower & Garden Festival. This event features elaborate greens and topiaries throughout the park, in addition to nightly musical entertainment and special garden-focused activities.

Central Florida Dragon Boat Festival

March 9

Beginning with an opening ceremony and live music and ending with a dramatic boat race, this annual Orlando event is a must-see. The Central Florida Dragon Boat Festival celebrates the dragon boat race held each year in Wooton Park.

Winter Park Sidewalk Art Festival

March 15-17

Known as one of the country’s most prestigious outdoor art events, the Winter Park Sidewalk Art Festival is a great way to ring in Spring in Orlando. The event features work from more than 1,000 artists, in addition to live music and children’s activities.

KidsFest at Audubon Park

April 28th

The annual event at Audubon Park – KidsFest – is another fun Spring activity in Orlando. Your kids will have a blast participating in a variety of kid-friendly activities, from gardening to cooking.

Lego Star Wars Days at Legoland

Lego Star Wars Days at Legoland

May 5-6, 12–13 & 19-20

During special days throughout the Spring, Legoland Orlando pays tribute to a galaxy far, far away at Lego Star Wars Days. This fun event includes Lego recreations of famous scenes from the Star Wars films, as well as appearances by Lego Star Wars characters, special building activities, and a costume parade.

Sea World ElectricOcean

SeaWorld Electric Ocean

May 24 – September 1

During the Electric Ocean event at Seaworld, the aquatic park comes alive with lights after the sun goes down each evening. The event includes special nighttime shows and live music, which culminates with an amazing fireworks and laser show each night.
