If you’re looking for great hotel for families in Naples, the Compass Hotel by Margaritaville is a fantastic option. This all-suite hotel is a gem with its great location, laid-back atmosphere, and island vibes. My family loved every moment of our stay here. The spacious accommodations are perfect for families and they’re even dog friendly, making it an ideal spot for anyone wanting to visiting Naples. I wanted to share my experience and why I think this is a great option if you’re looking for a hotel in Naples.

From the moment we arrived at the Compass Hotel, we were greeted with friendly smiles and a welcoming atmosphere. The check-in process was quick and efficient, setting a positive tone for our stay. The staff was genuinely helpful, making sure we had everything we needed to settle in comfortably.

Spacious Family-Friendly Accommodations

One of the first things I noticed at the Compass Hotel was the spacious all-suite accommodations. The suites are designed to make families feel right at home. Each room has a full kitchen, which is super convenient if you’re traveling with kids or your furry friends. Instead of relying solely on restaurants, you can prepare some meals yourself. This is especially helpful if your family has different food preferences.

The hotel is also dog-friendly, which was a big plus for me. If you have a playful pooch, you don’t have to leave them behind. There are pet-friendly amenities available, and you can find parks nearby where your pup can run around and play.

Delicious Island-Inspired Dining

The 5 o’Clock Somewhere Bar & Grill serves island-inspired cuisine that perfectly matches the hotel’s tropical vibe. The menu offers a variety of options, so there’s something for everyone in the family. Whether you want fresh seafood, tasty burgers, or healthy salads, you can find it all here.

I loved sitting by the pool and enjoying refreshing cocktails. The drinks were delicious, adding to the relaxing atmosphere. I also enjoyed the meals at the bar and grill, which had a casual and friendly vibe. It was a great place to unwind after a day of exploring Naples.

One of the best parts is that breakfast is included with your stay! The breakfast buffet offers a wide range of tasty options, from eggs and bacon to fresh fruit and pastries. Starting my day with a hearty breakfast helped me feel energized and ready for the adventures that awaited.

Fun Activities at the Hotel

What I loved most about the Compass Hotel was the variety of activities available right on the property. The hotel has a vibrant pool area that invites guests to relax and have fun. I spent many afternoons lounging by the pool, soaking up the sun, and sipping on tropical drinks. The pool area is well-designed, with plenty of lounge chairs and umbrellas to keep everyone comfortable.

The hotel often hosts live music, creating a lively atmosphere that encourages guests to relax and enjoy their time together. Special events, like Jimmy Buffett Day, bring even more excitement. During these events, you can expect games, activities, and lots of fun, which helps create lasting memories with friends and family.

There are poolside games that keep the kids entertained while parents can enjoy their cocktails. This balance of relaxation and family fun is what makes the Compass Hotel a great place to stay.

Nearby Attractions to Explore

While the Compass Hotel is filled with activities, the surrounding area of Naples has plenty to offer as well. Here are some of our favorite nearby attractions:

Exploring Naples With Teens

While the Compass Hotel has plenty of things to do we were excited to explore Naples. Although we live about an hour away we don’t go often so we were exited to be back.  Here are some of our favorite nearby spots:

  • Clam Pass Beach: Just a short drive away, this beach is known for its soft white sand and beautiful waters. It’s one of our favorite beaches in Naples and we always love spending a morning here swimming and relaxing, and building sandcastles. The boardwalk through the mangroves on the way to the beach is a unique experience that makes arriving to the beach magical.

  • Waterside Shops: This upscale shopping center is minutes from the hotel and features over 60 luxury boutiques and restaurants. It was a fun way to spend an afternoon, especially for those of us who enjoy shopping. We browsed the shops and even found a few unique gifts to take home.
  • Naples Zoo: A great spot for families, the Naples Zoo features a variety of animals, including lions, monkeys, and reptiles. We have been going to the Naples Zoo since the kids were little. And we all still love walking around the zoo, and getting up close to the animals.

  • Naples Botanical Gardens: Visiting the Naples Botanical Garden is one of my favorite things to do in Naples. I am always in awe of the beauty that can be found in nature and I always feel reenergized after walking through the beautiful gardens. This 170 acre themed garden is not only beautiful but also peaceful. And they offer an activity package for kids called W.O.N.D.E.R.  that stands for Walk, Observe, Navigate, Draw, Explore, and Read. The programs run Wednesdays through Sundays starting at 10:30 a.m. with a new theme each month, sot there’s always something fresh and exciting to discover.
