As I shared with you in my previous post I am participating in GE’s Energy Smart SIMPLE Service Project. I donated a box of GE Energy Smart light bulbs to Peace by Piece Learning Center. Peace by Piece is a non-profit school for children with autism and related disorders and this organization is very dear and near to my heart because both my children are in the autism spectrum. I was lucky to find programs in the area’s public schools that worked for my kids but a lot of children with autism require therapies and strategies that are not available through the school system and Peace by Piece is there for them bringing specialized learning and support for the families.
My donation will not only help Peace by Piece Learning Center save on light bulbs but by replacing their incandescent light bulbs to GE Energy Smart light bulbs they will be saving energy and money every year. I also told them about the GE website and the GE Facebook page and encouraged them to replace all of their light bulbs by GE Energy Smart light bulbs.
