We’re huge fans of the How to Train Your Dragon movies and we’re so excited about the release of the How To Train Your Dragon 3 on DVD and digital. I decided to throw a little How to Trian Your Dragon: The Hidden World movie night party complete with How to Train Your Dragon snacks.
We snagged the How to Train Your Dragon 3 Walmart Exclusive DVD Gift Set at Walmart and the kids were so excited about the cute Funko Pocket Pop! keychains. Sebastian also loved his new T-shirt and his Toothless toy.
The How to Train Your Dragon party to was a total success and the kids enjoyed helping me to make some delicious How to Train Your Dragon party snacks!
How To Train Your Dragon 3 Party Snacks
To make the How to Train Your Dragon popcorn I decorated small black and white treat bags with dragon wings and eyes which I printed on cardstock and glued to the bags. I then added melted candy to the popcorn along with blue and green sugar pearls in different sizes.
To make the cupcake toppers I just looked for some fun images of Toothless and the new light fury dragon character online and printed them on cardstock. I glued toothpicks to the back of the Toothless and light fury dragons and voila! Super easy and cute How to Train Your Dragon cupcake toppers.
We didn’t get a chance to catch the movie in theaters so this was the first time we saw it and we’re all loving the new character, a female light fury. She’s so sweet and beautiful and adds so much fun and emotion to the movie.
I loved the messages of love and friendship. There were some great positive messages. At one point Hiccup shows how you don’t have to face difficult situations alone as you can rely on your friends and family. I also loved that there are great lessons about changes that come with growing up and the importance of thinking about what will make those we love happy. All in all, it was an awesome movie and we had a fantastic time watching it.

What an amazing idea. Doing movie theme nights, my kids loved the How To Train Your Dragon films but doing this looks like giving the whole evening a whole new touch. I am glad it all went down well!

My brothers just watched How To Train Your Dragon last weekend and they would have been so excited to have such yummy eats with customized packs while they watched. So creative and those cupcakes must be delish!
