If you’re planning a West Palm Beach vacation and searching for the perfect place to stay, you need to check out the new Delta Hotels by Marriott West Palm Beach. Whether you’re visiting for the beaches, the art scene, or family-friendly activities, this newly opened hotel offers the ideal combination of comfort, style, convenience and great value. During our recent weekend getaway, my 16-year-old son and I stayed here, and it quickly became one of my favorite hotels in West Palm Beach.
This is the first Delta property to open in South Florida, and it’s located in the heart of West Palm Beach, just minutes from the airport and close to some of the best things to do in West Palm Beach. From the stunning Mounts Botanical Garden to the turquoise waters of Municipal Beach and the inspiring exhibits at the Norton Museum of Art, there’s so much to explore in the area. And the Delta Hotel made it easy to enjoy it all.
If you’re wondering where to stay in West Palm Beach, here’s why Delta Hotels by Marriott should be at the top of your list.
The New Delta Hotel by Marriott in West Palm Beach
The moment we walked into the Delta Hotel, we were greeted with a bright and modern lobby that felt both stylish and welcoming. The subtle coastal-inspired decor reminded us that we were in sunny Florida without being over the top. My son immediately noticed the pool table, which became his go-to spot while I checked us in.
The staff at the front desk were friendly and attentive, offering tips on the best nearby attractions and making sure we had everything we needed. It’s these small but meaningful details that set the tone for a stay, and we felt right at home from the start.
Spacious Rooms That Feel Like Home
After a long day of travel, walking into our room was such a relief. The space was bright and thoughtfully designed, with plenty of room to relax. The modern decor featured clean lines and a soothing color palette, creating a calming atmosphere that was perfect for unwinding.
The beds were a highlight of our stay—they were unbelievably comfortable, and I slept better than I had in weeks. My son even commented on how good the pillows were, which is high praise from a teenager! After busy days exploring West Palm Beach attractions, coming back to such a cozy and relaxing space made all the difference.
The room also included a coffee maker and mini-fridge, which came in handy for keeping snacks and drinks chilled. The complimentary bottled water was a nice touch, especially after spending time in the Florida heat.
Delicious Dining at The Dive
One of the standout features of the Delta Hotel is The Dive, the on-site restaurant and bar. It’s a great spot for breakfast, dinner, or just a drink, and the menu offers something for everyone.
We started each morning with breakfast at The Dive, and it quickly became one of my favorite parts of our stay. My son loved the Floribbean French Toast, which was perfectly sweet and packed with tropical flavors. I went for the Avocado Toast, a fresh and flavorful dish topped with poached eggs, heirloom tomatoes, and watermelon radishes. The Spanish Eggs Benedict, featuring Serrano ham and manchego cheese, was another standout option that I couldn’t resist trying.
For dinner I recommend the Blue Grotto Calamari, which was crispy and perfectly seasoned. My main dish, the Lobster Roll with key lime aioli, was fresh and delicious. My son went for a classic burger, which he devoured, calling it one of the best he’s ever had.
But the real star was dessert. The Chocolate Dome, with its rich chocolate shell, creamy vanilla ice cream, fresh berries, and edible flowers, was not just delicious—it was beautifully presented and the perfect way to end the meal.
The Dive also has an impressive selection of craft cocktails. I tried one of their tropical-inspired drinks, and it was the perfect refreshing treat after a day in the sun. Whether you’re in the mood for a full meal or just a quick bite, The Dive is a must-visit.
The Pool: The Perfect Spot for Relaxation
The pool area at the Delta Hotel is like stepping into a tropical escape. It’s surrounded by tall palm trees, with plenty of comfortable lounge chairs and umbrellas that make it easy to relax.
My son and I spent a couple of afternoons here, enjoying the calm atmosphere and taking refreshing dips in the sparkling pool. It’s just the right size—not too big or crowded—making it a great spot for both kids and adults. Whether you’re looking to sunbathe, read a book, or simply cool off, the pool area offers a little something for everyone.
Top Things to Do in West Palm Beach
One of the best things about the Delta Hotel is its location. It’s close to so many of the best things to do in West Palm Beach, making it easy to explore without spending a lot of time in the car. Whether you’re into nature, art, shopping, or simply relaxing on the beach, this hotel puts you right in the middle of it all.
Mounts Botanical Garden of West Palm Beach
Just 10 minutes from the hotel, Mounts Botanical Garden is a beautiful spot to explore nature and enjoy some fresh air. This 20-acre garden has so much to see, from the Tropical Forest and Butterfly Garden to peaceful ponds surrounded by vibrant flowers. My son and I picked up sandwiches from Buccan, a well-known local sandwich shop, before heading over. Their prosciutto sandwich was amazing, and it was so nice to have a picnic next to one of the ponds while we relaxed and enjoyed the views.
After lunch, we wandered through the gardens, fed the fish, and spotted birds like the Eastern Phoebe, Red-shouldered Hawk, and a colorful Yellow-bellied Sapsucker. It’s the perfect place to slow down and enjoy some quiet time surrounded by nature. The garden also hosts seasonal events and plant sales, so it’s worth checking their calendar if you’re planning a visit. Don’t forget comfortable shoes and water, as there’s a lot to explore!
Norton Museum of Art
If you’re looking to add some culture to your trip, the Norton Museum of Art is a must-see. Located just a short drive from the Delta Hotel, this museum offers a fantastic mix of classic and modern art that will impress any visitor, whether you’re an art aficionado or just curious to see something new.
The sculpture garden was a highlight for us. Walking through it felt like stepping into a creative blend of art and nature, with large-scale sculptures beautifully integrated into the outdoor setting. Inside the museum, there’s something for everyone, from thought-provoking contemporary pieces to timeless works from renowned artists.
The museum also hosts special exhibitions, workshops, and family-friendly events, so there’s always something new to discover. Plan to spend a few hours here to fully appreciate everything it has to offer, and don’t forget to check out the museum shop for unique souvenirs.
Palm Beach and the Worth Avenue Clock Tower
Visiting Palm Beach and the iconic Worth Avenue Clock Tower was one of the highlights of our trip. Located at the east end of Worth Avenue, this picturesque beach is a blend of natural beauty and timeless sophistication. The clock tower, a popular spot for photos, offers stunning views of the turquoise water and soft golden sand. The beach itself is clean and peaceful, ideal for a relaxing day by the ocean or a quiet stroll along the shore. Basic amenities like restrooms and outdoor showers are available, making it easy to rinse off and transition to exploring the nearby shopping district.
Worth Avenue, often considered one of the most luxurious shopping streets in the U.S., is lined with high-end boutiques, art galleries, and charming courtyards. Even if shopping isn’t on your agenda, it’s worth taking a walk to admire the Mediterranean-inspired architecture and lush landscaping. Parking can be tricky during busy times, but metered spots and garages are available nearby. Arrive early for the best spots, and consider capping your visit with a meal at one of the chic cafés or restaurants along Worth Avenue to fully soak in the Palm Beach experience.
The Breakers Hotel
Even if you’re not staying at The Breakers, this historic property is worth a visit. It’s one of the most iconic landmarks in West Palm Beach, known for its grand architecture and beautifully landscaped gardens that transport you to another era.
My son and I enjoyed wandering through the grounds, admiring the intricate details of the hotel’s design, and learning a bit about its fascinating history. Built in 1896, The Breakers has hosted countless notable guests over the years, and its timeless elegance is still on full display today.
If you’re in the mood for a splurge, the hotel’s restaurants and bars offer a chance to enjoy a luxurious meal or cocktail while soaking in the ambiance. Even a quick visit to The Breakers is enough to leave you feeling inspired by its beauty and charm.
Clematis Street and Rosemary Square
For a taste of the city’s vibrant energy, head to Clematis Street and Rosemary Square. These two areas are the heart of West Palm Beach’s shopping, dining, and entertainment scene, offering something for everyone.
Clematis Street has a more historic feel, with boutique shops, art galleries, and local restaurants lining the charming streets. It’s the perfect place for a leisurely stroll, whether you’re window-shopping or grabbing a bite at one of the area’s unique eateries.
Rosemary Square, on the other hand, has a more modern vibe with trendy shops, live music, and events happening regularly. It’s also a great spot for families, as there are plenty of open spaces for kids to run around while adults enjoy the lively atmosphere. My son and I spent an evening here exploring the shops and grabbing a treat—it’s an excellent place to wind down after a day of sightseeing.
West Palm Beach Arts and Entertainment District
During our weekend in West Palm Beach, we took some time to explore the vibrant Arts and Entertainment District, known for its lively streets, colorful murals, and creative energy. Strolling through the area was a treat, as we discovered stunning street art around almost every corner. Each mural felt like a window into the soul of the city, showcasing the talent and diversity of the local art scene. If you’re planning your visit, be sure to check out the Arts and Entertainment District’s website to find the locations of their murals and other art installations—it’s a great way to plan your route and make the most of your time in this inspiring neighborhood.
