Earth Day is a great opportunity to teach your children about the importance of taking care of our planet and being more conscious about their environment, but it is also a great opportunity to teach them Spanish. Take this opportunity to teach them more about the ecosystems that are around them and also about the natural beauty of the places where they come from.
My children love hearing about the jungle and about the animals there live there, they always ask my parents, who live in Guatemala about it and they are eager to visit it one day. Maybe this year we will make that trip and they will be able to experience the different ecosystems that make up my beautiful Guatemala and I will enjoy being able to share with them and teach them about the land where I come from.

I am so glad you are mentioning these books. Quite a few years back I taught CCD to Spanish speaking students and I always struggled with finding appropriate books/materials that they could use.
What great books for children its wonderful for kids to learn about the earth and how important it is to look after it!!
