Watching basketball games with my family is something that we truly enjoy. It brings us together and it helps us bond.  We make an event of watching the games by bringing out lots of delicious food and sometimes even my parents come over to watch the games with us.

Getting ready for our basketball game, time family celebrations are part of the fun, and we like to prepare different appetizers and treats that everyone can enjoy and that are also nutritious and delicious.

We love onion rings and always get the Alexia onion rings to make at home. We only need to bake them for about 20 minutes, and they come out golden, crunchy, and delicious. Since they are baked rather than deep-fried, they have all the crunch without the greasiness and are better for you. To accompany the onion rings, I created a spicy avocado and cilantro hummus.

The time is here game time that is, and my family can’t wait to celebrate and enjoy watching our team play! One part of the fun is the preparations we take before the game, and one of those things is the preparation of the food and treats we are having to fully enjoy the moment.

Everyone loved the combination of the crispy, flavorful onion rings and the smooth, fresh taste of the cilantro. I have to say that this might be my favorite hummus recipe and the combination of the onion rings and the hummus was a total slam dunk!
