If you’re looking for the ideal family hotel in Orlando this spring or summer, look no further! From large suites with a separate living room and super comfortable beds to a fantastic pool with a water slide, Caribe Royale Orlando has everything a family wants from a hotel combined with a great location near all the theme parks and International Drive at affordable prices.
Orlando has lots of hotels and resorts and sometimes it’s hard to choose the right one for your family. Although many advertise as having everything your family needs some hotels fall short when it comes to delivering. Recently we had the opportunity to stay at Caribe Royale Orlando for a few nights and we loved every minute of it.
Great Reasons for Staying At Caribe Royale All-Suite Hotel in Orlando
Spacious Suites
Caribe Royale has spacious suites with a separate living room with a full-size sofa bed. The single most important thing for me when traveling with my kids is having enough space.
For me, suites with a separate sleeping and living area are a must. Having separate spaces for kids and adults, or teens and adults can make a difference between a good vacation and a great vacation. I need a place to work or relax and maybe watch a movie or my favorite TV shows after the kids are asleep and the kids also need their privacy and their own space.
The comfortable beds and the fantastic view from the room where a huge plus as was the free WiFi and the large flatscreen TVs both in the room and in the living room.
The living area also includes a desk which was perfect since I’m always working while I travel. I was able to get some work done after visiting the parks while the kids watched TV in the room. I was happy and they where happy.
If you’re looking for even more space you can book one of Caribe Royale’s two-bedroom villas, which are tucked away in a separate area with their own private pool yet they are just steps away from the main pool and restaurants. The villas are equipped with a full kitchen, laundry room and a screened in patio or balcony.
Refrigerator and microwave
The Caribe Royale suites all have a coffee maker, a microwave and a good sized refrigerator; one where you can actually fit some food and even some frozen meals. This was a huge plus as we were able to prepare a quick breakfast before heading out to the parks without having to waste time going to a restaurant and we got to save some money too.
A great pool with a waterslide
For my kids, the single most important thing about a hotel is the pool. As soon as we walked into the Caribe Royale and they laid eyes on the beautiful resort-style pool with it’s waterfall and 75-foot water slide their eyes lit up.
When we go to Orlando we always like to take a break from the parks and spend some time relaxing poolside and the Caribe Royale pool was fantastic.
Even though the weather didn’t cooperate the pool was heated and we got to enjoy it even if the temperatures were a bit chilly (for this Florida girl anyway).
Something for everyone
I love when a hotel has something for everyone in the family and this was the case with Caribe Royale. My husband is a gym rat and he works out every day. He was really happy when he found out that Caribe Royale has a well-equipped fitness center so he could work out in the evenings. I, on the other hand, don’t think that the words gym and vacation should be in the same sentence. For me, vacation is about relaxing and that is why I was thrilled about Caribe Roya’s on-site Island Spa which offers massages, body treatments, facials, and nail services so you can pamper yourself and come back from your vacation reenergized and rejuvenated!
Great food and lots of dining options
Caribe Royale has lots of dining options including fine dining at the award-winning Venetian Chop House, casual dining at the Tropicale restaurant and poolside alfresco dining at Calypso Pool Bar & Grille. You can also grab a delicious latte, yogurt or sandwiches to go at Java’s Coffee Café. If you’re getting an early start to your day or arrive late after a full day of park you can get something to eat any time of the day or night at Café 24 which is open 24hrs a day and offers options like pastries, paninis, pizza, soups, and a salad bar. And for those times when you just want to veg out in your hotel room, the Caribe Royale offers 24hr in-room dining which is so convenient for families!
There’s also plenty of options if you’re looking for a place to relax and order a drink after a busy day in Orlando; you can enjoy a delicious cocktail and a cheese platter at the Loft Lobby Bar or unwind while enjoying a view of the pool a the Falls Lounge.
We ate at the Calypso poolside restaurant and everything that we ordered was delicious. I love that their menu goes beyond the regular poolside fare and includes some dishes island and Caribbean flavors that really put you in that vacay kind of mood like Jamaican wings, beef empanadas, Florida gulf grouper, piña colada chicken sandwich and flan just to name a few. Yum!
Fantastic Service
Nothing makes a more lasting positive impression than hotel staff that shows that they really care about their guests. Staying at a hotel where you and your kids feel good is priceless and we really felt like we were being welcomed back home every time we got back to the hotel.
We got to the hotel late at night and the kids were so excited to find complimentary snacks there to welcome us. Throughout our stay at Caribe Royale very staff member we encounter always had a smile on their face and every request for extra towels and every order for in-room service was met quickly and with a positive attitude and smile.
