If you are a Masked Singer fan you’ll be just as excited as we are about The Masked Singer Season 4 finale tonight. You may have seen that we threw a Masked Singer watch party for the Season 3 finale, as it also happened to be around my daughter’s birthday and she wanted a Masked Singer themed birthday party. For that party I made a Masked Singer logo t-shirt and a Masked Singer logo apron using our Cricut machine. You can check out the party here, see how we made the Night Angel cupcakes and download the Night Angel printables here and I have also included the Masked Singer logo svg file so you can download for free and make your own Masked Singer t-shirts, bags or aprons.
For season 3 we created some super cute Night Angel cupcakes and everyone loved them so much that we decided to do it again for Season 4. This time we made cupcakes for all three of the final contestants Sun, Crocodile and Mushroom.
At home we all have our guesses for who is behind de mask. Who is The Sun? We’re almost sure it’s LeAnne Rimes. Who is the Crocodile? We’re pretty sure it’s Nick Carter from the Backstreet Boys. And the most difficult guess of all: who is behind the Mushroom mask? Among our guesses are Aloe Blacc, Jordan Fisher and Todrick Hall.
And of coarse each of us has their own favorite Masked Singer. Ariane loves the Sun mask while I think that Crocodile will win. However my favorite costume is the Mushroom. I would love to dress as the Mushroom next Halloween!
This time besides the cupcakes for the Masked Singer contestants we also printed out our best guesses for who is behind the mask and put them on a cake. When it came to the food we included some cheddar flavored popcorn, because of coarse Popcorn was one of our favorite masks this season as well as easy foods like pizza. I suggested adding some broccoli and mushrooms to the pizza but I was vetoed by the kids but if you’re into veggie pizzas that would be a fun idea for your Masked Singer watch party foods.
We’re thinking of making this a new family tradition and celebrate each Masked Season finale with a watch party. And not that the Masked Dancer is coming (we’re so excited aren’t you?) we might also do it for the Masked Dancer. I have to say that during this pandemic watching the Masked Singer as a family and guessing who may be behind the mask has been one of our favorite things to do. Although no one has taken it as seriously as my daughter who researches all of the clues and even has a notebook where she keeps track. She gets most of the guesses right although she usually does get a bit of help from Joey Contino (if you haven’t watched his pitch correct YouTube videos you need to!)
The Masked Singer Season 4 Party Ideas
Last time I shared some general Masked Singer party ideas, that can be applied for any Masked Singer themed party so be sure to check them out here! This time I’m including ideas specific to the Masked Singer season 4 finale.
Look for foods based on some of the masks.
For season 4 for example you can include popcorn, mushroom and broccoli. Both mushrooms and broccoli could be included in a pizza or in some other fun recipe.
Create Masked Singer cupcakes.
Print out your favorite masked singer characters and use them as cupcake or cake toppers. We just looked for photos of the season 4 Masked Singer characters, printed them on yardstick and cut them. Then we placed them on cupcakes. For a more elaborate Masked Singer cupcake check out our Mushroom, Sun and Crocodile cupcake toppers and liners below.
Make guessing more fun who is behind the mask.
Have a prize for the person who guesses who is behind the mask correctly. We included our best guesses for who is behind the mask in our party. We just looked for pictures of the artists, printed them and put them on a cake to include them along with the masked costumes.
Play Masked Singer inspired music.
After watching the finale keep the party going with music from the Masked Singer season 4. It can be some of the songs that the contestants sang or you can look for music from the singers that participated.
The Masked Singer Season 4 Cupcake Toppers Free Printables
To make these Masked Singer season 4 the Sun cupcakes we started off by finding a large photo of the Sun, Mushroom and Crocodile singer. Cesar modified the bottom of the dress or costume to create a cupcake liner and we printed the topper and liner on cardstock and cut them. Then we used white glue to glue a wooden skewer or long toothpick to the back, leaving about 1 1/2″ of the skewer free on the bottom. This is the process we follow for each of the masked singer cupcakes.
Then it was my turn to make the cupcakes. We turned this into a fun family activity and the kids helped out. You can make the cupcakes from scratch but to be honest I used boxed cake and made these in no time.
For the crocodile cupcakes I used vanilla frosting and bright pink food coloring. You can download the PDF for the Masked Singer the Sun cupcake topper and cupcake liner here.
For the Sun cupcakes I used white vanilla frosting and then I sprayed it with Wilton Edible Gold Mist to give it that gold color that you can not accomplish using food coloring. I let it stand for about an hour before putting the cupcake liner inserting the Sun cupcake topper and putting the cupcake liner around your cupcake. I used yellow cupcake liners as a base as this was the closest I had to the gold color but you can also use gold cupcake liners.
You can download the PDF for the Masked Singer the Sun cupcake topper and cupcake liner here.
For the Mushroom cupcakes I used vanilla frosting and brown gel food coloring to give the frosting the same light brown color of Mushroom’s dress. You can download the PDF for the Masked Singer Mushroom cupcake topper and liner here.
And there you have it! These Masked Singer cupcakes are so easy to make and they look gorgeous, don’t you think? You can use this same process for any of your favorite masks from any of the seasons.
We also made another version of the cupcakes that was much simpler. We just printed the entire costume for each of the Masked Singer contestants as a cupcake topper. Just do a search online and make sure that the photo is large enough so that it prints well.
