Summer vacation is almost over and it’s time for getting ready to go back to school. Starting a new school year can be challenging for kids and parents alike. However, there are simple steps you can take to make the back to school transition easy for everyone and get kids motivated about the new school year. On my last trip to Walmart, I made sure to stock up on everything I will need to start off the school year including Tyson® Chicken Nuggets, Jimmy Dean® Pancakes and Sausage on a Stick and Post-it® Super Sticky Notes Cube.

Take the bore out of lunch with creative lunch box ideas

My kids love Tyson® Chicken Nuggets so I include them in their lunch box in creative ways, like chicken nugget and cheese kabobs along with a variety of fruit and some of their favorite snacks. I like to change things around every day so that they don’t get bored. Tips for a Successful Back to School Transition I really like that Tyson® Chicken Nuggets have 100% all-natural ingredients and no antibiotics ever.

Start the day in a positive way

I prep as much as I can the day before and make sure I start the day with something I enjoy like exercise and a good cup of coffee before I wake up the kids. Making sure I’m in a good mood and not stressed helps set the mood for everyone’s morning. I do my best to keep things positive because I know that starting the day in a positive way can set the mood for the rest of the day for everyone.

Make breakfast fun

I remember having the same breakfast every school day as a kid and how boring that was. That is why I make sure that I have fun and different breakfast options for my kids now. One of my go-to products are Jimmy Dean® Frozen Breakfasts; they’re tasty and easy to make and they have at least 6 grams of protein per serving. One of their favorites is Jimmy Dean® Pancakes and Sausage on a Stick. It’s delicious and breakfast on a stick is always so much more fun! Tips for a Successful Back to School Transition

Remind kids that you’re thinking of them

One of the hardest things about going back to school for my kids is that we all get used to spending so much time together during vacations. That is why I make sure to remind them that I’m thinking of them by adding fun notes to their lunch box. There’s no need to do anything complicated – a simple note letting them know how special they are and how much you love them is enough. I always add a Post-it note on their lunch box and change up the messages I send them every day. 1. These are great ideas for kids! My kids love to eat school breakfast and lunch almost the entire year, so we rarely pack but I am hoping that our pre-k son will want to pack some, this year being his first year 🙂
