Leading a healthier lifestyle doesn’t have to be hard. I’m sharing 6 easy steps you can take now to achieve a healthier lifestyle.
Easy steps you can take now to achieve a healthier lifestyle
1. Find your motivation.
Making changes to achieve a healthier lifestyle is easier when you have a purpose. One of the things I am most passionate about is traveling and one of my objectives this year is to travel to spend more time in parks and outdoor destinations. My goal is to hike up an active volcano in Guatemala. That is why I’m working on building my strength and my resistance so that I can hike for longer distances and explore more of those places that I’m passionate about. Perhaps your purpose is to become a Personal Trainer by completing a certified Personal Trainer course. Whatever your motivation, lean into it and stick with it.
Having the right activewear helps me stay motivated as I train for these outdoor adventures. Dona Jo offers stylish pieces that support movement, ensuring confidence and comfort wherever your fitness journey takes you
Another one of my goals is to focus more time on taking care of myself. As a mom, I often put myself last and I realize that this needs to change. That is why I’m focusing on starting my day by setting my intentions and I’m also practicing mindfulness.
Set simple, specific and achievable goals.
The key to sticking to those New Years’ resolutions is to keep your fitness and healthy lifestyle goals simple and clear. For me, those fitness goals include taking steps to eat better and improve my digestive health, meditating at least 10 minutes every day, hiking or running outside as often as I can and doing yoga at least 5 times per week.
Ever since Yoga arrived in the United States, Americans have adopted it as a part of their healthy schedule. In fact, Yoga has recently become so popular that many cities are booming with yoga culture and are considered as the best cities for yoga in the US.
Hiking is not just great exercise but spending time outdoors does wonder for my mood. I always feel more motivated and happy when I spend time surrounded by nature.
Start with small changes.
Many of us want to have a healthier lifestyle but sometimes it’s hard to know where to begin. Every time I thought about all of the things I wanted to do to improve my health I would get overwhelmed. I realized that the best way to start is to focus on small changes.
Small changes can have a big impact over time. Something as simple as starting your day with a healthy and nutritious breakfast or doing yoga for 15 minutes can help you achieve big goals like lowering stress or losing 15 pounds. Some of the other small changes that I have made this year include taking steps to support immune health and my digestive health.
4. Create a wellness routine, and stick to it.
Having a healthy routine that incorporates all of those things that are important to us makes it so much easier to achieve our wellness goals. A healthy routine also helps us to turn things like exercise and meditation into healthy habits. Once we have formed a healthy habit it’s so much easier to stick with it.
As part of the wellness routine, I start my day with my intentions and journaling. Then I meditate for 10-20 minutes and do yoga or stretching before starting my day. I also take proactive steps to support my immune health and promote my overall health by supplements.
5 Support your digestive tract
Healthy digestion improves the absorption of nutrients providing you with the fuel and energy your body needs. Taking proactive steps to support your digestive tract is a great way to ensure that your digestive system works in an efficient and optimal way.

Recently my friend has introduced me to the probiotics and I think this is crucial to have in our daily intake. We do need some supplements for the active lifestyle.
I know all of these are important to a healthy lifestyle. But just starting is the biggest step sometimes. It’s that first step that gets you going in the right direction.
I take a probiotic drink everyday and that helps me with my GI issues. However, I know that is not enough to promote a healthy lifestyle. I am thinking of joining an exercise program (Zumba classes) sponsored by our village. I watched one session lately and it looks like fun. Will be signing up soon.
Those are all great products! I have been taking Align probiotics for years and they have made such a difference!
