Toy Story 4 Party Ideas: Simple and Affordable Decorations, Activities and Food

Throwing a Toy Story movie night party is a great way of spending a fun evening with your kids. Whether you’re looking for ideas for a Toy Story birthday party or wanting to throw a Toy Story  family movie night I’m sharing lots of easy Toys Story party ideas here. I’m also sharing some Toy Story crafts and Toy Story recipes that are easy to make at home with the kids.

Toy Story 4 Movie night party ideas

For me, Toy Story 4 was a real surprise. Toy Story has always been one of my favorite animated movies and honestly, I didn’t think Toy Story 4 would be so awesome. But this movie has everything from a fresh and wonderful storyline and fantastic new characters to unexpected twists. It makes you laugh until your stomach hurts and it pulls at your heartstrings. And to top it off it has so many wonderful messages: from resilience and learning to embrace change to putting yourself in someone else’s shoes and not judging a book by its cover.

We love themed movie nights in our home. We recently did a Monster’s University Movie night party and it was so much fun so it just made sense to do one with Toy Story 4.

Toy Story 4 is the perfect theme for a movie night or birthday party. And if you’re looking for some simple and fun ideas for a Toy Story party you’ve come to the right place. And because Toy Story 4 is all about the character’s adventures at the fair you can also incorporate fair games and activities in your Toy Story party or celebration!

Make it a Toy Story Movie Night

We got the Toy Story 4 Movie from Amazon.  I love that this limited edition SteelBook includes so many additional features. This was the perfect excuse for a little Toy Story 4 themed movie night party. If you’re planning on a lazy weekend with the kids you can even make it a marathon and watch the Toy Story movie collection

Easy Toy Story Party Decorations

For me, part of the fun of throwing a party is to keep things simple and affordable. You can get Toy Story party decorations online or make some yourself with the kids if you have time. I got a bag of Toy Story confetti from a party store (you can also get it online).

I used the confetti to decorate straws. I also used it to make my own mini Toy Story cupcake toppers by gluing a toothpick to the back of each cardboard piece.

Incorporate the carnival theme

As part of the carnival theme, you can also decorate with streamers and balloons in bright primary colors like yellow, red, blue and green. There are also lots of affordable decorations at party stores. You may even incorporate replicas of the cartoon character into decorations to make it more fun and engaging for the guests. Explore more cartoon character replicas on this page and design the one that fits your party theme, budget, and space, as there are no limitations when it comes to creating these memorable creatures. You can save by keeping it simple and focusing on a few affordable items. Let’s be honest, it’s a lot more affordable to buy a few decorations than to make them at home.

Another great idea is to use Toy Story toys your children already have at home as part of the decoration.

Fun and Easy Toy Story Party Foods

Toy Story popcorn.

What is a Toy Story 4 movie night party without popcorn? To make the popcorn more festive I added candy pearls in different colors and put the popcorn in bright colored paper bags.

Mini brownie bites.

I opted for mini brownie bites instead of cupcakes because they are less messy and there is less waste. Kids often leave cupcakes half-eaten and cupcakes can be super messy. To make these brownie bites I got some storebought brownies and decorated them with white frosting and colorful sprinkles. I then added the Toy Story mini cupcake toppers I made.

  2. My grandson just had a Halloween party (advanced, I know) at school today and he came in as Woody. I know he would love to have a Toy story themed birthday party too in December when he turns 4. Saving this post for the awesome party idea.
